Job Purpose:

The HR Business Partner plays the role of HR consulting to the business. He/She is the significant connector who aligns interests among departments for a cooperative and collaborative working environment to ensure organizational effectiveness.

JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Performance Management & Talent Development:

Focus on the current workforce in the organization and prepare them for the future. Areas of focus are as:

  • Create a framework and process for talent management in order to recognize, nurture, and retain talent while ensuring that it meets the organization’s present and future demands
  • Develop and maintain assessment tools to identify high-potential talents for the organization
  • Facilitate other stakeholders with talent review sessions periodically to ensure talents are managed and maintained
  • Collect and analyze data with indicators related to talent insights and collaborate with various managers for continuous improvement
  • Create Individual Development Plan (IDP) for staff in collaboration and alignment with their immediate supervisors/ line managers
  • Succession Planning: identify key talents and provide development plans for them as successors to fill in critical roles
  • Create a competency framework and seek development plans to enforce the quality of Leadership and Management, Team
  • Align Employees Performance outcomes with the Total Rewards team for rewarding packages appropriately

2. Employee & Labor Relation:

Focus on interactions between the organization and employees with regard to employment activities and incidents on a daily basis. Areas of focus are as:

  • Conduct daily/weekly meetings with respective managers for people metrics update
  • Comprehend workplace policies, employee handbook, and codes of conduct and provide guidance to employees for their understanding and compliance with corporate governance
  • Accompany line managers to handle difficult employees, and disruptive behaviors and provide appropriate corrective action, with Performance Improvement Plan (PIP);
  • Investigate cases who violate the Company policies and regulations and suggest disciplinary action (if any)
  • Manage employee exit process to ensure that every employee leaves the Company with their contentment and pride (for voluntary exit)
  • Forecast and develop plans to manage redundancies with regards to business or competence restructure, and provide great support to individuals who are impacted (for involuntary exit)
  • Establish positive relationships with managers and staff to boost morale, productivity, and retention
  • And other tasks/ projects assigned by immediate supervisor/line manager (if any)

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Law or a related field
  • 2-3 years of HR experience in Performance Management, Talent Development and Employment Counselling
  • Obtain good knowledge of performance assessment tools and mechanisms, training needs analysis, and effectiveness evaluation
  • Understand different theories and models of performance management, competency development, learning, and development, etc.
  • Good at Data Analysis and Reports
  • Obtain knowledge of human & organizational psychology is a plus
